Celebrating the Gospel
Blessing the Cities

We gather around the Gospel of Jesus Christ to worship God, encourage each other, and bless our neighbors.

Not In Our Neighborhood! Performance

Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 7 PM – 9:30 PM

Price: Pay What You Can (suggested donation of $10)

We are hosting a one-night performance of this new play about a little-known instance of violent racism which happened just down the street from
our building.

In 1924 William Francis (a lawyer who later became the U.S. Ambassador to Liberia) and his wife, Nellie (a civil rights activist), planned to move to a new home at 2092 Sargent Ave. Their plans were met with an outburst of racist activity including petitions, demonstrations, death threats, and eventually cross burnings.

Join us for this unique opportunity to see this bold new play on the same block as where the historic events took place. The 90 minute performance is followed by a Q&A with the playwright, director, cast and crew.

Good Friday 4/19 | Easter 4/21

Please join us on Good Friday (April 19) for a traditional tenebrae service, during which we will reflect on the death of Christ for the redemption of the world, through the singing of songs and the reading of scripture.

Return on Sunday morning (April 21) for a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and all its implications for our lives and our world!

We are celebrating Resurrection Sunday and the beginning of the Easter season with food, friends, and fellowship! Join us for our Easter Breakfast at 8:30, and stick around for our Resurrection Sunday Worship Service at 10.
